The Commission Process

General Rundown:

Each commission is done differently and everything is custom tailored to your liking through consultation feedback with me. All commission prices will vary depending on how much detail is applied, work added, and late design modifications so be cautious of increased price tags. Here's a rundown of my commission process and what you can expect when we start. This applies to most but not all commission types.

Step 1:

Step 1:

Step 1:

Received and reviewed your commission submission form

Step 2:

First Contact (this email is usually me asking additional information and turnaround time for the first initial rough sketches)

Step 3:

Initial quota to the assigned commission will be issued. Once confirmed and approved by the client, the process will move forward to step 4

Step 4:

First rough sketch is complete and awaiting your feedback

Step 5:

First rough sketch failed approval. Redesign or minor editing in progress (step 3 & 4 can repeat multiple times until client is satisfied with redesign results)

Step 6:

Rough sketch receives approval

Step 7:

Line art and basic color pallets are being created

Step 8:

Line art and color samples awaiting client's approval (this step could repeat multiple times until client gives approval)

Step 9:

Basic shading and texturing is applied

Step 10:

Draft is sent to client for review (client could also mention adding additional details in which case step 7 & 8 are repeated)

Step 11:

Advance texturing and final detailing is added (No modifications can be made at this stage)

Step 12:

(Late fee payment) In the event that late modifications are made and requested input suggestions exceeded over the limit of 5, additional fees may apply at this stage

Digital: The final draft of the artwork will be emailed but with a watermark attached as a lock. Watermark will be instantly removed once transactions are completed and I'll send another draft of the artwork without the mark.

Traditional: Artwork will be photographed and emailed or text to you for approval. I will then request the additional payments before I mail out the art piece.

Step 13:

Full payment for the commission required in addition to any add-on surcharges.

Step 14:

Enjoy your custom artwork!
