Importing Photoshop Tool Asset (.abr) to CSP

Before you get started with this procedure, make sure you've exported the ABR file from Photoshop first. Please refer to the Import Photoshop Tool Asset page if you haven't done it yet.

If you're wondering if it's possible to add and use Photoshop brush tools in Clip Studio Paint, then YES you can! This took me some time to research and here's the answer. Go into CSP and go to any sub tool library you want to import the Photoshop tool. Click on the little "hamburger menu" icon on the top left highlighted in red in the image.

You will see this drop-down menu selection. Click on "Import Sub Tool." A pop-up window will appear.

Once you see your pop-up window, locate the .abr file you previously exported out of Photoshop and saved on your computer. As stated previously, I saved the ABR file on my desktop temporarily for quick access. The ABR file should look something similar to the image on the left. Select this file and hit "Open."

The Photoshop tool asset should now be in your CSP tool library. The tool will be listed as other CSP assets in that specific library. You can now use the Photoshop tool in Clip Studio Paint!

It's a fairly simple process and it's a super convenient feature to have. However, I recommend you do this one at a time. The ABR files have generic appearances and can be hard to discern which ABR file contains a specific brush. Once you completed importing one ABR file, delete it from the area you saved it then proceed to export and import the next ABR file.
